I've found this story in MamaFami's fp. How sometimes the things we say actually hurt the people we love.

NAIL IN THE FENCE
A Good Story for Great Friends

There once was a little girl who had a bad temper. Her mother gave her a bag of nails and told her that every time she lost her temper, she must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the girl had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as she learned to control her anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. She discovered it was easier to hold her temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the girl didn't lose her temper at all. She told her mother about it and the mother suggested that the girl now pull out one nail for each day that she was able to hold her temper.

The day passed and the young girl was finally able to tell her mother that all the nails were gone. The mother took her daughter by the hand and led her to the fence.

She said, "You have done well, my daughter, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one." You can put a knife in a person and draw it out. It won' t matter how many times you say "I'm sorry," the wound is still there.

A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Please forgive me if I have ever left a hole in your fence.

Spaghetti Sos Tomato

Menghadap pc sampai tak sedar hari dah tengahari.. so apalagi yang ringkas, segera dan disukai ramai... melainkan spaghetti sos tomato. Walaupun tak cukup ingredients... belasah sajelah...... janji budak2 cakap sedappp, kira oklah tu...

Bahan-bahannya :-

1 paket spaghetti 500g (mama guna separuh saje) - rebus ikut arahan, tos, gaul ngan sedikit minyak
3 biji tomato - chop kasar2
1 biji bawang besar - chop halus
2 ulas bawang putih
200g daging kisar
2 dada isi ayam - chop kasar2
3 batang sosej - potong kecil
5 sudu besar sos tomato
5 sudu besar sos cili
5 sudu besar tomato puri - tak letak sbb takde
2 sudu besar cili kering kisar
Herbs - Oregano ground & thyme - secukupnya
Minyak zaitun untuk menumis
Sedikit air
Garam dan gula - secukup rasa

Cara-caranya:-

1. Tumis bawang besar dan bawang putih hingga layu.
2. Masukkan daging kisar dan ayam. Tumis sampai bahan2 masak.
3. Masukkan cili kering kisar, chopped tomato, sos tomato, sos cili, tomato puri, herbs dan sosej. Gaul sebentar.
4. Masukkan air. Masak hingga kuah pekat.
5. Masukkan garam dan gula secukupnya.
6. Sedia dihidangkan.

Gulai Telur Itik

Hari ni buat gulai telur itik. Jauh datangnya telur itik ni, nun di Kelantan sana. Itik my MIL bertelur banyak... so separuh buat telur jeruk, yang lebih tuh gulailah.. apa lagi. Telur itik lagi sedap kalau nak buat gulai, lagi sedap daripada telur ayam. Lagipun time kita pecahkan kedalam kuah tuh, elok je dia beku.

Bahan - bahan:-

5 biji telur itik
3 biji bawang merah - tumbuk
1 biji bawang putih - tumbuk
3-4 sudu besar rempah kari
3 sudu besar cili kering kisar
2 cawan santan cair
1 cawan santan pekat
1 asam keping
1 terung - potong
3-4 batang kacang panjang - patah-patahkan
Garam dan gula - secukup rasa.

Cara - caranya:-

1. Tumis bahan tumbuk sehingga naik bau.
2. Masukkan rempah kari dan cili kering. Tumis.
3. Masukkan santan cair. Masak perlahan - lahan sehingga mendidih.
4. Pecahkan telur kedalam periuk satu persatu. Biar mendidih perlahan. Jangan terlalu dikacau, bimbang kuning telur pecah.
5. Bila telur sudah masak, masukkan santan pekat, asam keping, garam dan gula.
6. Akhir sekali, masukkan sayur terung dan kacang panjang. Masak sebentar.
7. Hidangkan dengan nasi putih.

Caramel Pudding

This pudding needs very simple ingredients, very easy to make and taste delicious. Try it!!

Ingredients:-

7 eggs (Gred A)
1 tin condense milk (small)
5 table spoons sugar
1 t/b spoon custard flour - optional
1 cup water

Methods :-

Caramel

1. Put 3 table spoons of sugar into cake tray (9" diameter).
2. Put it over low heat until the sugar is melted and golden.
3. Turn to coat bottom and sides of tray with the caramel.
4. Set aside.

Pudding


1. Beat eggs.
2. Stir in condense milk.
3. Dissolve custard flour and 2 t/b spoon sugar with water.
4. Mix all the ingredients together.
5. Pour into caramel-coated tray.
6. Steam for about 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Slow fire and slightly longer is better.
7. Let cool completely. Invert on a serving dish.
8. Decorate with mix fruits (optional).
